Sunday Business

We worked in the yard all day Saturday, mowing, hanging twinkle lights, helping the neighbors move the gazebo, trimming hedges and weeding....then decided it was time to start a few new projects. I'm all for starting new projects...just not so good at finishing so I really get stressed when Bobby starts talking big...like building a new deck.  Today we decided to start on the rain barrel.  I have wanted one for a while but as you may or may not know...collecting rain water in Colorado is illegal  (I'm such a rebel!)  We headed off to the Cowboy Kmart (farm store) and asked the guy for a water holder...he announced that they DO NOT SELL rain barrels, just big containers, what we put in them is up to us,(smiling he tells us,"they come with spigot attached").  He called someone on a walkie talkie and lead us to a secret back lot where they were locked up like little prisoners.  $49.95 and we will be having our own water for the plants.

put the drain and chain up...Bobby is a genius when it comes to "rigging" things.
there it is...once we get it spray painted with lovely colored paint and a few plants on it it will be camouflaged.

We did a little lawn organizing, put lights up on the Umbrella and installed the summer entertainment : a bug zapper.
Made a little seating area for people watching.

The last project I started was trying to figure out how to put a bit of shade over the porch swing. It's so hot in the midday it doesn't get any use. I figured if I could get some heavy canvas and put it over the top of the swing (which should eventually have trumpet vine growing over it) I could get a bit of removable shade.

I purchased 5 yards of white canvas (the only color they had) and will start sewing something that will flop over the top support similar to a tent.  We'll see.

So,that was it for Sunday.  School on Monday and another week passes by.
write ya later

Ahhhhh Grassssssshopper....

you tied the belt too tight.
It's hard to picture isn't it?
Natural causes...
I guess it's pretty natural to run out of air when you have a belt around your neck and you are dangling 2 inches from the floor with your penis in your hand.

I was talking to my friend about this....
Men are flippin weird. Women would never think about doing this (well very rarely) and I'm sure if we did, we would have at least fancy shoes on for when they found us.
So, here the scenario: David comes home from a long day of filming (did i mention he was in Thailand?) and feels a bit frisky. Hmmmm I'm a little tired today so i guess I'll get naked, find my old crappy belt, put it around my neck and this secure spot in the closet, play with my ding a ling and then see if I can fall to my knees and hope this bar here in the closet doesn't break....oh yeah, and I got to remember to try to stand up right when I'm *finished* wink wink.
Back to the Thailand thing...isn't that the land of little hookers, and the place you can get ANYTHING sexual you could possibly want?...or does doin yourself in the closet sound better?
While I am on the subject about the weirdness of men...
Must they really masturbate all the time? Working in the hospital you see and hear all kinds of crazy things. As a woman, IF i had a penis (first of all I would love it) most importantly I would NEVER EVER stick it in a vacuum cleaner. I would NEVER EVER stick it in a beer bottle. I also would never stick a beer bottle up my butt or vahooha...I just have a bit of common sense and getting off is not that important to me. I would much rather have my pride.

So next time you think about doing a little yanky yanky hanging from the closet bar either :

1. make sure you have someone there with you to get you back on your feet and belt off your neck.
2. make it look like suicide...that means let go of your penis (maybe you clamp down when this happens)
or
3. just remember Grasshopper say "Not good idea, Sensei".

school....again

I start school again tomorrow. I'm nervous yet excited. School is not really supposed to be stressful, well not as stressful as I often make it. To me, I have to have everything in order just to get started. The good thing is that we have classes Mon and Thursday, from 9-12. so that is not too bad. I can work fairly normal hours and still be home for the family.
I spoke to a few of my dear nursing buddies yesterday and I think they have me convinced to go try to get a perdiem job. Tomorrow I will take myself to Lifecare and see if I can apply. Even if I just work 3 shifts a month at night that would be good experience and extra $$$. I jsut get so nervous changing my schedule, but now is a good time. Olive starts Kindergarten Aug. 18 and it opens up a new door for all of us.
My goal is to stop worrying and start doing. I shouldn't worry about things that have not even happened yet. right? right.
Maybe I should get my resume in order.
while I'm sitting here.....
at work. :)

Home...

(Me...with fruity margarita for the beach....)
Sweet home...minus the sand.
I have a ton of pictures to get into a little slideshow then I will post the most boring link, so that you can all look at them.

Our Trip was beyond fabulous...Here it is in a nutshell. I lost both my ipods, because I lose everything. (my name and address is with the Ipods in case someone wants to return them) they were left in row 13C of the American Airlines flight, last flight of the day I was told, so, in all reality, those nice people who clean the plane should have found them. HAHAHAHA I guess they consider those little piece of electronics "tips".
We all got sunburned, even though we went through 2 bottles of 75 block and I actually sat under an umbrella with a hat. Ask anyone! The 12 y.o got bit so bad by a hermit crab at the beach store he wouldn't even touch the one he bought for 13$...now I have to take care of it.
He also managed to get stung by jellyfish, but luckily the mean Aussie lifeguard told us to get some vinegar from the snack bar and pour on it. It helped....better than trying to pee on it.
I ate my weight in boiled Pnuts at the "Boathouse"...and scarfed down Gumbo everyday, sometimes twice a day, and had fresh grilled fish sandwiches which were filet to order at AJ's.
I ripped my toenail off "boogie boarding".
The Family was great. We didn't stay together, and you know what they say...the family that doesn't bunk in the same condo stays together...it worked for us.
The wedding was short and pretty...the best kind...nothing like those crazy hour long Catholic weddings.
Olive saw Porpoise about 4 feet away when she was playing with Daddoo, on the second sandbar, and swears they were Mermaids.
I found a pink Barbie on the beach the second day while running and she thought the God's sent it to her and explained to her Bubba how the new Pink Barbie is gonna be so happy and excited when she sees the Barbie Castle she will now live in at Colorado, instead of the old sandy beach.
I thought the Barbie did look pretty happy...on the beach...but it's hard not being a Malibu Barbie and living on the beach, so she probably IS happier in Colorado.

I'm gonna leave out the part about the father of the bride, my brother in law, being so hammered at the wedding he could barely stand up...he's a friendly drunk, so it was actually comical.
And the part about my sissy "hangin' out with the nice drug dealer" in the condo hooked to ours...because she is an adult and can make her own decisions. heehee
And that Olive peed on the "puck puck"(putt-putt) golf course while we were playing...through her panties, through her dress....because she didn't think there was a potty anywhere near.
Oh yeah...and the fact that Freckle face girl is now totally covered in zits and peeling skin because red head and Florida sun do not mix...while the rest of my family looks as if they had a nice relaxing vacation and are a nice shade of golden brown...similar to a coppertone commercial.

stay tuned for pictures this evening
