It happened. Bobby is starting to come thru. I know, I know, you girls told me he was possibly just stressed out. I think you were right! This weekend I asked him a couple of times what he wanted for the week. No answer. Then low and behold when we were at the grocery he got stuff to make a vat of chili for the week. Good for him! He also wan't sick for the first time since Thanksgiving!!!
My first week of school is done. 11 weeks to go for the first semester. Today is my first test. I slept like crap, because I was thinking about it all night. Silly every 45 minutes I flipped over and started looking at the clock. Today...I'm going to Target to get some tylenol PM. I need to sleep!!!
Here's my dinners for the week
Monday: Spinach, feta, tomato, cheddar quiche with spinach salad
Tuesday: Spaghetti with homemade sauce and veggie meatballs. (bobby will have spicy italian sausage)
Wed. (Bobby goes to practice) Noodles with alfredo and frozed organic veggies with garlic toast...kids requested this.
Thursday: Burgers with side salad
Friday: ??
Well,
I better get to work.
i'll write soon

Here I am...4:00 am
So,
It's 4 am, I am here at work. Getting stuff done. Jees, guess what? I'm tired and I think it may because my body is not yet ready to be up at 4 am. Maybe by the end of the week? I'll keep ya posted on that.

Go with the Flow
Life happens quickly. Sometimes so quickly one misses part of it. This is my situation. I have come to a fork in the road and it appears that I may have skipped over part of the road. How, I ask myself? Was it a drunken stupor? Child rearing years gone bad? I don't know, I just don't know...the bigger question is should I look for these lost years or just write them off as "unknown"?
Too bad I can't use them as a tax deduction right. Lost years, that ought to get my at least 2000$ don't you think?
The real issue here is coming to the fork in the road I want to ensure that I have gone down the correct path. Mayb I'm putting too much thought into it. Maybe I should just go with the flow and see where the path takes me. Novel idea, but at almost 39 shouldn't I be more aware of my past mistakes to make sure my new path is the right one?
Go with the flow. Go with the flow. Go with the flow.

tired...
It's been a few days since I have written. Last weekend Princess Titsy, Ilin and I did the Oatmeal 5k and managed to actually finish. We were all so proud or ourselves.
Yesterday I had my first day of orientation and bought most of my books on Amazon....400$ onto the credit card. The instructor kept saying she doesn't suggest anyone should work full time with the full time nursing schedule, but what am I to do? I have to keep our insurance! Last night when I got home I told Bobby if I can't do it I will quit working, and he about choked. I guess I will wait and see.
I met Synda for our knitting group. Of course noone showed up except us :). It was nice. We knitted, talked and planned a future project that I am going to keep under wraps until we start getting it together. I'm tired today and I have to fix all the stuff my coworker attempted to do to help cover for me yesterday. Well at least they got most of it done.
Talk to everyone soon. I have to run today, so if anyone wants to join me...3 pm

Ilin Blue's 11 th bday!!!
Well, 11 years ago today I gave birth to my little genius....Ilin Blue!
Last night I made 2 dozen cupcakes for his class. I'm not much of a cook so i made boxed cupcake then fancy frosting.
I made Cream Cheese Frosting which i dyed blue, then Chocolate ganache frosting. The kids said it was yummy. Poor Olive, she just couldn't get the concept that it wasn't her Bday.
Tonight is ladies night so we will indulge Ilin in a huge bowl of mussels and any type of pop he wants. I think Gramma Cathy has offered to treat him to his bowl of stinky mussels.
On a different note, Bobby is still sick. He seems fine all day then as soon as we go to bed he gets the chills and is "sick" again. I really feel it's because he is not eating properly and doesn't take care of himself. My biggest fear is that he will really get sick and he won't survive because he is so weak.
more later....

Getting things together.
I'm tired...but I will keep moving forward. No sense moving backwards is there?...Except for pure safety reasons and being scared. I'm tired of my job. I have been training and training, even when you are training someone who knows what they are doing is exhausting.
Let's have a weekend recap. Bobby was sick. Olive and I had a fabulous week or so of Mommy - Princess bonding. It was actually really nice. We made dinners together and played whack a mole...it was fun. On Sat. we headed out to Zoo Lights with N, M and Dahlia. It was crowded but the girls had a great time.
By Sunday I was ready to head back to work. So here I am. Today I will get caught up, try to plan Ilins Birthday, figure out a weeks menu, get in a 4 mile run and work on my school schedule without fretting.
One step at a time.

please Help MEEEEE
So, I'm going on day 7 of Bobby just laying in bed moaning. You would think he was dying, but he only has the flu. The house smells of sickness, and he won't even get up. It must be nice to be a man. I keep wondering what would happen if he was a single parent and got this sick? I don't even want to know.

food, being active and the change I made
I know some of you girls at work call me Ms. Green Jeans, but I'm NOT as green as most. I made a promise to myself last year that I would change the way I live. I made this decision when I was throwing something away, probably a plastic container, or possibly I was somewhere like TN. where they do not recycle curbside. I thought...I don't have to throw this away...I can recycle. Yes, it does take a bit more effort but it is worth it. Bobby says, what's the difference? You can't change the world. You can change the world and you can change the way you live in the world and maybe you won't see the difference today or tomorrow, but you will feel the difference in your heart. It's a feeling of accomplishment that I feel. I want to be an example of what a person can do and you DONT have to be a stinky hippie to do these things. You can be cool, you can be yourself, you don't have to preach...just do by example.
Recycle!!!
We are lucky enough to have curbside recycling, but they don't take everything. they take plastics, cans, glass, and mail. I pack up all the cardboard and paperboard and take it to ecocycle myself. I do this once a month. It's painless.
I take the batteries to work...they recycle them.
Compost
Not everyone can do this, but if you live in a house and you have a bit of yard space you can. All of your scrap food except for meat products can be put in a bin and they take care of theirselves. My good friend, Cathy, gave me a compost bin which she wasn't using and that is what I use. Before I had that I used just a corner of the ayrd and thru everything in it along with leaves and grass. Makes perfect additions to the potting soil in the spring.
After I do all these things....I barely have any garbage. !!!!!
Simple as Pie.
As you know I made the commitment to become more active. I started working out, running and keeping track of what I eat. I illiminated alot of refined sugars in our diets and work helped me to incorporate more veggies daily into my life by doing the strive for 5!
2008 is going to be a grand year. I feel good...I want everyone around me to feel good and see the beauty.
let's do it!
