separated at birth

It's not OK

So, they have found this 44# cat wondering around the streets of New Jersey. The owners have til Sunday to claim Princess Chubstah. The problem is....The owners will be charged with animal abuse.
I've looked at about 6 pictures of this cat and short of the weight, and who's to say this cat doesn't have "big bones" or a "thyroid problem", this damn cat looks pretty well loved. I'm guessing a little old lady owned this cat, fed the hell out of it with table scraps, liver and fancy feast...the cat got out the kitty door and could not fit back in...you know, similar to Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree. Cat wanders around neighborhood mewing and waiting and was found by our low level cops called the Humane Society. Look at it...eyes clear, no mange, has both ears....clean tummy. I bet this kitty smells like cigarette smoke, Chanel #5, and steamed milk.
Do we need a law that keeps people from overfeeding their pets?
Possibly...but maybe other factors should be factored in.
So in short...THIS IS NOT OK.

BUT

this appears to be ok...

there is no "real law" against this in the US

see above kitty? You go to jail and pay a hefty fine....
See above Kiddies....nothing, well possibly a visit from Social Services if the above also includes bruises, broken bones and no shows to school.

I think there may be a problem here.

CA. banned trans fats. Good Job, Arnold!
But....maybe we should start heaving fines on parents that continue down this path with their children. People like to say this is a "low income" thing, but look around. This is happening in Middle America.
This is not ok.
We will be paying, may I dare say, a Hefty price for these problems in 50 years with lack of insurance and medical costs.
liver shutting down, knee replacements, hip replacements and my fav. Diabetes.

I say we not only get rid of transfats...but make healthy food a bit more affordable...How about we get rid of HotPockets and let kids have a salad as a choice at school?
I don't want Pizza Hut to be a provider of lunch at my kid's middle school.
If they don't have a choice...I guarantee they will eat the salad bar and fruit.
One more Idea, why don't we all take the stigmata off of being vegetarian. For my kid's sake, your kid's sake and for the sake of the planet.

Do something about it. Tell your kids it's ok to eat vegetables and if you know a kid who is veggie... talk about it, don't laugh about it. Be an adult. I'm not saying everyone needs to switch to Soybeans...I'm saying a Boca burger and a salad ...even a veggie weenie are good choices...not something to poke fingers at and laugh at just because it's different than a slab of steak.

think about it

hobo bag...almost done

Oh yeah...I'm almost done with the bag...
Synda don't kill me for posting such a crappy picture...when it's time to do Etsy we can do pretties.

Its a reversible Hobo bag with a groovy applique...inside is denim.
I love orange..so it's orange and yellow...uh and denim

Go on Cat...Get outta my beer

Lefthand Brewery...down the street, even the cat can't get enough.

See, these are the things that I deal with.  I went inside for a few minutes to find a pencil and when I came back , Kitty was drinking my beer...that old stupid cat.

So here are a few pointers...
Don't drink and study...you NEVER EVER remember anything...
Don't drink and try to color and cut your own hair.

(color appears ok...bye bye grey)

(ok...I'm punk rawk what can I say)
Even though it often seems ok in a PMS fueled drinking binge, it never turns out ok. I have color down my back...I couldn't figure out how short I wanted the top and now...well Yes, my cheap ass has saved 52$ in cut but have lost a million in pride.  I'm sure a can of mousse or hair wax can fix it...and maybe a few barrettes...and possibly some low lighting.  Maybe the zit on my nose will distract the viewer?
Hmmmm?  possibly?

The Pink Flamingos are growing well...

3 very small tomatoes have grown....There goes my plans of feeding my family for the remainder of the year off my home grown garden goods...oh well
I'm sure they are scrumptious.

well...gotta get back to studying...sorry I have nothing fabulously funny this evening...

work computer shut down!!! woohoo

Happy day! The Meditech system is getting upgrades, which means I can do nothing for the next 4 hours. Wait a minute, it kind of sucks because I have to sit here, doing nothing, when I could be doing anything somewhere else. Figures, it's like Murphy's Law.

Maybe I'll just hit a few topics in my life while I'm sitting...then I'm going to study. (My supervisor gave me permission to do homework while I'm sitting).

Yesterday, I worked on my bag. It definitely does not look like I want it to, but I think it will look ok. I'll post some pictures this afternoon. Class yesterday was had a bit of a good note to it. We got a much needed extra point added to our grades...teacher made a boo boo and the genius next to me caught it, God Bless Him and his oversized brain. We got out early and I had intended on going to Hot Yoga, got home and asked B if he had practice. His answer was "I think." Then 5 minutes before I should have left he said, "oh we aren't having practice." ???? Does he do it on purpose? I kindly stated that he could have told me so that I could go do a few things for MYSELF, like go to Yoga. He, not so kindly stated, "you went to yoga on Sunday." UH , yeah, so? You bought crap on EBAY every day last week.

Oh yeah, I forgot, I'm not as important as the rest of the household, upon making a commitment, then birthing I was to give up all my rights as a free life living human of the female variety and give into the middle age mom spread....stay home and cook, clean, and tell people to bathe and brush their teeth. How could I have forgotten that? Especially when they walk around reminding me from the minute my feet hit the threshold of the house til at least 20 minutes after my ass hits the bed with no pause inbetween. (and you people wonder why I don't crap on a regular basis.?..as soon as I sit down there is a 4 y.o pawing at the door! Honestly, yesterday, when I went to the bathroom she sat right outside the door eating carrots and dip kicking the door with her tippy toes, wanting to know why I locked the door, and why she couldn't get the TP for me and help me wipe.)

As punishment to my family yesterday I announced I would not be cooking dinner. I kindly told Dad that I would really like it if he could be in charge of dinner, the entire thing. (time at this point 5;45 pm) There was a bit of eye rolling and a "why" so I said, I want to sew then study...and I'll be ready for dinner when it's ready. (sidebar: I had all ready defrosted the chicken, put the rice on , and sat out our veggie dinner.)

tick
tock
tick
tock
(current time 715 pm...Dad in garage) In my head....I'm not going up there, I'm not giving in. Then from Olive's loud mouth, "I'm starving, give me those C...H...I...P...S!!!!!! (heehee I knew without even being there she was trying to get Dad's chips and salsa he was eating while avoiding cooking. That did it. he went up and turned on the grill, made salad, and had Trevor set the table. YES!!!! and you know what? No one died. Close...

After dinner Synda came over after class and we had Tequila and Oj and talked about how much we LOVE tequila and how she was in trouble at home too. Nice to know the river runs wide around here.

My day ended with a bit more studying because class is over Aug 7th and as you know I MUST make a C. I crawled into bed and actually slept. The best part of my day.

PS it's Bobby's Bday Aug 3rd, he wants these, but for some reason Lip Service never has small sizes...only sizes in the size people should not be wearing these clothes (does that make sense?)
he's 28" waist...so if any of you fashionistas know where I can get him a pair of flairs or bell bottoms let me know

lip service flairs

did i tell you?

I can sew. I taught myself to sew when I was about 6 with a little mini Kenmore my mom bought.
I went through stages of sewing, not sewing, patience and no patience. I don't like to be "expected to sew"...but I do love to sew. I just get overwhelmed with the ideas which swarm my head. My mom used to tell me, "it's a sign of a true artist." I don't know, I always thought it a sign of a crazy person. A person who can't sleep at night because things race around in her head , yet never escape to become proof. I used to sew in the 80's...Punk Rock...I would whip together outfits and 4 panel crazy-like Hammer pants for my friends...alter dresses, make skirts with tons of fringe and elastic waist bands. I was Punk RAWWWK! In College I needed extra money so I hemmed things...easy things, then someone requested some curtains (probably what made me hate sewing) but they came out ok. I made fabric leg warmers and thigh highs with huge industrial eyelets on the sides and little skirts to match. I crocheted Reggae hats for friends and made Tams for the bald hippies (they were reversible) and I sold them for $5 in the commons. I paid my 100$ rent doing that.
Now I have slowly started to sew again, but once again I am finding it overwhelming. I need to have patience. Things don't go away. I can start and stop and pick up later. I see things I want to make...I don't have time now, but I will, I promise myself. I read the sewing blogs and people whip out all types of things in what seems like 24 hours. I can't even get the fabric laid out in that time. It's ok...I can sew....and it won't go out of style.

weekend :)

ooooh.
what a weekend.
Ran, Hot Yoga, pushups, swimming, ran again....sore

The hot yoga kicked my ass this week. Everything hurts....I finally figured out why. I haven't crapped since Thursday!!! Jeesus. What is up with that? I feel crappy ...to say the least.

HMMPF...

I am not stupid...although I am beginning to believe that I truly am. I made a 71% on my Microbiology test. I love bacteria...it's way cool. I do my labs. When it says "swab for Staph." who steps up to the plate and swabs her cleavage? ME!...I do...because I'm a good student (and it's hot and gross there, in my sweavage, that is). So, why is it that I can't make a good grade. Ok, I'll take that back. On the medical paper I had to write I made a 100% on both of them (surprise, surprise). But besides that...nada, no sticky wicky in my brain. I have the general concept. I know how antigens work. I know if you get stung by a bee you may not have a reaction the first time but the second time could kill you...see enough said. Is it because I should be studying NOW...instead of typing my meager thoughts on the subject as I wait for Princess Titsy to say "come, my love...let us drink Margaritas at the Horny Toad...it is 345"? naaaaaah, It's because I'm lazy. I'd rather clean the grout around the toilet instead of study. So I get what I deserve. Stupido Seniorita.

the case of the office/desk job

My pants are tight. It pisses me off. It makes me not want to eat ever again, except that I love french bread...and pasta (I have switched to wholewheat). Are my pants tight because I'm getting fatter? Or are my pants tight because I sit in this spinny office chair where my feet don't touch the ground for 9 hours a day?..."office spread".
Office jobs are bizarre to me. When I used to wait tables I would say to myself at least 50 times a week, "What I wouldn't give to sit at a desk, not have to pull out cafe tables or refill ketchup, and possibly have paid sick days!!!" Now I think to myself...I should get a part time waitressing job just to get some movement in my life.
More Randomness today...
Office jobs make me want to be a cleptomaniac. When I walk around the office I see things I want. Is that wrong? For instance, the lady across the way has a red stapler that stands up on its end. Where did she get that? We order our office stuff from the same purchasing area. Did she bring it from home? Why would you bring your stuff from home? I'm going to take it. Except she'll know, because I sit too close. Same with pens...I like other people's pens...My pens always suck ass. Maybe someone is stealing my pens. I also like to look through peoples office drawers when they aren't here. I get here really early and it started one day when I needed some Splenda. I started poking through people's drawers and they had everything but Splenda. I'll tell you what, I'm surprised we don't have mice in this office seeing how much food these office ladies cram in their drawers. It's gross. Do you really need emergency "Little Debbie" in there?
Anyway, back to the topic at hand...my chair is making my ass big. I am going to start running again today. Even if it kills me and it might. I am on week 4 of the pushups. I'm pretty sure everyone has given up. Bobby even started complaining when his first set was 30 last night. Well, Mr Wussy, the entire idea was to get to 100 pushups!
I have one more month of summer to get my ass in shape (this has been a lifetime goal). Running, pushups (for my Madonna Arms I'm working on), and maybe I'll try some hiking.

delicious

Sting, that is. I am not fond of the beard, but I got over it, he is in such great shape and shows it off with very tight fitting clothes. Anyway...
The concert was great. I loved seeing all three guys playing together, although you could tell they will be happy when they don't have to play with eachother any more. Give me my check and see ya later!
As far as VIP goes, it didn't. I think there may have been a misunderstanding about the tickets. We had row 32 which is just too far from the stage for my liking. So we just found seats in row 4 (the first 2 rows were roped off so we were in row 2, I guess). Much better! Sting came out and sang "Allison" with Elvis Costello. YUM. He was playing it up last night, sort of cocky and a little cheesey at times. We did have a fabulous time and it was fun hearing all the old Police songs!
I would still like to do yoga with him sometime, a girl can dream.

SYNDA!!!!!!

Happy Birthday My Friend!!!!

Tomorrow night

I'll be heading to Redrocks tomorrow night to see the Police! VIP...not sure what that means yet, but whatever it means I am very excited. If you have never been to a show at Redrocks, it is one of those things that need to be done before you die. Especially if it is to see a band that you L-O-V-E.

stupid Monday

Well, the week begins with no coffee. it's going to be a crapalicious day. Well, actually there was coffee, just no sugar, because the kids in our house eat everything like they are at a hotel buffet and never say when things are running out. Let me give you an example. Bobby bought one of those huge ass boxes of cereal Friday evening so that Olive, who thinks cereal is only for weekends, and that it could possibly come straight from the mysterious world of fairies and unicorns and float down on candy coated clouds right into her Spongebob Squarepants bowl every Saturday morning, would have it. He always buys the crappy kind like Apple Jacks knowing the boys don't like it. Did I mention he bought this cereal Friday evening at about 7 pm....by 647 am when I stumbled down the stairs being lead by the little paw of Olive to her "special cupboard" where Daddoo keeps her Saturday morning ritual...I noticed on the counter the box of cereal. I pick it up...Jeesus Crimony....EMPTY, well almost empty they left enough for about an 1/8 of a bowl of cereal. Who eats a pound of cereal in one evening?! I tell Olive to go turn on her shows and I pour the bit of cereal and all that weird powderey stuff into the bowl...look through the cabinet and find some old cornflakes to mix with it...knowing in my head she is not gonna fall for the flakes, I get into the spice cabinet and find some cupcake sprinkles and dump those on top...all so i don't have to hear the screaming....i reach for the new 1/2 gallon of milk in the fridge, lift and about toss the damn thing over my head backwards! Empty! in the fridge and EMPTY. Damn them, curses to hell. Olive got a nice mixture of soymilk and Daddoo's heavy cream. I hate teenagers. I hate them all. they are smelly, they eat everything in the house and they have no phone skills.
Enough said.
With all that said. I have no idea what they did with the sugar that was to go into my coffee this morning, but that was gone too.
It's going to be one of those crappy Mondays.

Friday Night Fantasy

So, this is what I would like to wear tonight when I go see Hillbilly Hellcats and The Mighty 18 Wheeler...but the skirt didn't fit, the top was not that color, the shoes were too $$$ and the bracelet looked silly with nothing on. So, I'm just gonna drink those Martinis, because they look good on everyone. Plus when I tilt the glass back you can hardly see the huge Zit on my chin. Yeah it"s Friday!!!

my keys are gross

So, it's not quite this dirty but if I wasn't at work it would probably have that bottle of gin next to it, seeing how G & T's are the summer "old school" drink of choice, perfect for long hours of surfing.
I don't smoke, but if you replace all those ashes with little bits of office type snacks; ie: crumpets, cookies, oyster crackers and other bready crumby products...that is exactly what my keyboard looks like.
I just took a few minutes and banged it on its side and a plethora of nastiness fell out.
I try not to think about the fact that I could probably make a nice wig out of all the hair that came out?? What's up with that? I must pull my hair out while on hold with insurance companies....I can see there is a tiny piece of paper lodged between the B and N keys which I can't get out, no matter how hard I bang it on the desk. I dislodged a paperclip, I was looking for that!
I think I'm going to call the store room and order a new keyboard, just for the hell of it. get rid of this germ infested piece of plastic.

oh yeah a funny hunny

I forgot this one.
Olive has been watching way too much TV...She absolutely adores the idiot box. I, in no way encourage TV watching, in fact we often unplug the entire thing so that no one can enjoy it. Olive does not care if it is unplugged...she will still insist that it is turned on so that she can watch her "shows". She screeches from the TV room " Mamooooooo, Come here!!!!! RUN.....nevermind, you missed it". (uh, that is because I didn't even budge from my spot on the porch swing, honey).
She can recite commercials about aqua globes, mighty putty, Paula Dean, KaBaam, and knows every character from the Old Hanah Barbara cartoons....it's disturbing. With that said, this morning we are driving to preschool and I am listening to the radio and she hears they are giving away a trip to San Diego.
"Mamoooooo, we HAVE to get that ....we need it, I want it!!!"

"Olive, what is in San Diego that we need to see?"

"Mamooo, I need to see San Diego, BackPack, Dora, Boots and Everyone...You know I LOVE San Diego"

hahahaha duh.... of course...San Diego....and his cousin Dora. How could I be so stupid? I was actually thinking Seaworld or the Zoo or something. Jeez. yes San Diego, bless his little Peruvian heart.

Will still be employed as a full time employee while going to school at the hospital. They have come to their senses.

good job...loser

Wowza,
First I would like to congratulate myself on making a big ol 85% on my Microbiology Test.    thank you, thank you very much....  Only 2 more tests to go ...

Secondly, I would like to degrade myself for possibly being written off the schedule at a job I have had for 5 years...Thank you, thank you very much.  ( and no, it's not because of blogging at work, although that would make more sense).

As some of you know I work at a hospital doing financial insurance counseling ...not exactly my life time goal, but kept my other half and me insured with crappy insurance at an exorbitant rate for the time being (yes, you would think a hospital would give it's employees ok insurance    hahahahahaha...NOT).  It appears they may not be able to "accommodate" my FALL status of schedule needs while I try to better and further my educational standing for their facility; typical big business, even in Non-profit.   I am in nursing school and you would think with the shortage of nurses they would like to have me return to the wonderful facility, I now call home ,when I have completed my schooling.  Obviously a huge misunderstanding on my part.  Apparently they can get someone for much less $$$ to work my job for the 3.5 months I have remaining in school.  The bummer part is I didn't want to leave, i just wanted to go to 21 hours so as not to kill myself on my final semester.   You know  the school schedule is  about 38 hours per week of actual school time and I figured I could , you know , neglect my children and other half, deprive myself of free time and mental well being for an additional 20 hours per week just to maintain my status at the hospital....but, instead, it appears I will be greeting you with a freshly sanitized cart at Walmart, smiling and readily pointing you to the returns isle.   Thank You corporate America for your support.

Maybe someone could use one of these

ya know, I was just surfing the internet and came across this....

I'm pretty sure someone might be able to use it

heehee

What a weekend

I didn't go to Yoga...I'll get that out there right now...but I did run on Saturday...

We went to the Kolodjiez Saturday afternoon for BBQ, although I'm vegetarian so I drank, ate salsa and had some coleslaw... Some old friends were there and there was one short minute where my feelings got hurt, so things are going to change around here. One of the ladies there kept kind of making sideways remarks about how "myssi always says it like it is"...or "leave it to her to say something like that"....and just some kind of off the cuff remarks/jabs...so I've decided that I will NOT be telling anyone anything anymore. I kept my mouth shut most of the evening, seeing as to how I tend to kind of watch the kids and such ...from now I'll be quiet. I didn't care for getting my feelings hurt from someone I feel is a friend, and possibly she didn't even realize, but whatever. Yeah, I do say things like they are. I'm sorry for that but if ...let's just say...your "husband is out with the guys and I happen to be there...and I see him leaving with another woman or chatting someone up...maybe it's not my business...but if he is loaded and maybe a bit on the edge of a poor decision...I'll say something to him...ya know Hey_____, why don't you come over here and keep yourself outta trouble for a bit longer". Next time I'll let him go.
I would expect the same for me....If my kids are acting freaky...I hope one of my "friends" puts them in line if I'm not standing right there...so if these kind of things are being outspoken, then I guess I am...screw it...enough said, I got it off my chest.

On a fun note. Miss Olive had an audition for a TV scout. Too funny. She had to do a one on one interview, a runway walk and sell some corn pops on camera with someone feeding her lines. She did really well. I honestly just thought she would chicken out when we got there, but absolutely not. I'll start at the semi beginning on the car ride there...she kept saying...my tummy hurts...ok..."do you need to barf?" mmmm no, Mamoo. 3 miles later..."Mammooooooo I need you to STOP now!!!!!" RRRRRRRRRRr , car screeches across 4 lanes of I-25, about killing us, Daddoo yelling to do something and that he is going to puke if she pukes (thanks dad)....got to the side of the road whipped Miss Olive out of the car seat....no pukey.
Back in the car...drive another 30 miles and have about 3 minutes more to go and I hear this whimper and SPLA^TTTT....pukarama. All over her little outfit and everything. After she was all cleaned up, she said " Mammoooooo, my audition!!! my shorts are pukey!" Daddy went to the Target and got her a new pair of shorts and we went to the audition....LATE. The man told us , "what a cutie...can you come back at 230?" So, we did.
She did, like I said earlier, really well and they call back in a week. We know she probably won't make it, but if she wants to keep trying Daddoo or Mammoo will keep driving. She told the lady she wants to be on TV...and sell Mighty Putty. That's my girl.

That was Sunday and by the time we got home I could barely make dinner. And the week begins again.

Saturday Sews and a new doo

olive's new A-line haircut  (so Poshlike)

So I made this little top this morning and was hoping to put some ruffles on the bottom, but of course ran out of fabric. It's soooo cute, isn't it?  Daddy got her some "dolphin shorts" (remember them?) from Target.  He's such a good shopper, he was even able to convince her pink plaid did not match the polka dots well and that she would look smashing in white shorts.

I'm thinking I might attempt my first tutorial on this top since it is so easy and so easily adaptable, that is if anyone would be interested.  I honestly believe one of the main reasons to have a girl child is to make little outfits.  They are easier than adult outfits and you can use funky fabric that adults don't tend to wear.

I got some fabric for another bag and have an idea for an applique type thing to put on it...and some 100% muslin fabric unbleached to try to make the girls each a pinafore dress....Synda I hope you don't mind me making dresses for Ryland!

Well, we will be taking the hotrod out to Jimmy and Leslie's this afternoon for libations and such.  Tomorrow Yoga, study and pushups.

friday time waster

Synda told me about this and now I can't stop.

Photoshop disasters

:)

Angry Morning

A few things I hate:

1. The bus pulling away as I pull into the bus stop, even after I forced myself up 30 minutes early, rushed around like a chicken with it's head cut off, and squealed into the parking lot. ( I know that bus driver saw me!)

2. My period...Yes, I realize I've been having the damn thing for 22 years,( minus the time in the middle when I was either on super birth control or pregnant) but I still can't get used to it. I'm never prepared, it never comes when I want it to and it always ruins my weekend...like it knows my sex schedule. Lord forbid that is would start Sunday evening at 5 pm and end Friday afternoon at happy hour. ( never trust anything that bleeds a quarter of it's life and lives).

3. Tight underwear. It ruins my entire morale. It just proves that I have gained weight or have water weight which in return makes we want to cram bags of Boulder Chips into my mouth to make me feel better. Curses to you #2 and salt!

4. Zits....This may be redundant with #2, but Jeesus H Christ....can I not get a break between Zits and wrinkles? What ever could I have done in my past life to deserve this? I recycle, I donate, I'm good to myself and Mother Earth, why, oh WHY must I have zits?

Just so as not to let ya'll think my days are always full of crap...I do have an OK life. This morning I got up and went to wake Olive up....guess what? on a good note, she didn't pee her underwear...on a funny note...she got baby powder out last night (not sure when) and shot it all over her room...looked exactly like a powder infused cannon went off...POOF! Bobby actually vacuumed it up at 545 am, chihuahua barking ferociously for all the neighbors to hear...chasing the "break the noise barrier, ancient vacuum" around the bedroom. (Please God send me a Dyson for Xmas) The weekend is here and "Rhythm on the River" is going on, so maybe we can ride our bikes down there and I am going to try to either make a bag or sew another little top for the girls this weekend...put the school book to the side.

I better go do some work
which is #5.....of things I can't stand....

write ya later....

I'm here

and Synda is back...I know she has some pictures of her vacation, but she is supposed to be studying for a few placement tests....maybe that is why she is not blogging.

So, short note...when I come to work in the morning I always freak out when the deer are in the middle of the street...or hanging on the sidewalk, like a pack of evil teenagers, waiting to jump me. If you beep, they run all crazy-like. If you don't beep, they just look at you...like a deer in the headlights, for lack of a better phrase. they are sooooo cute yet larger than you think when they are right next to you.

So, I just had another test in Micro...the STRESS of it all...it's leading me to drink, well, ok...I drank before, but it's making me drink mixed drinks at an ungodly rate. The first test, if you must know...I made a shitty 73% on...I need to make a C in the class to move on...which has never, ever been a problem with any class (I'm an A/B kinda lady)...but this class, it's stressing me out. Everyone is dropping, but I refuse. I don't know if this is idiotic on my part or genius. If I drop...I'll HAVE to take it again and I loose my money, and all my friends can vouch for how fricken cheap I am, I would NEVER,EVER, EVER pay for anything twice (except my precious Ipod that I lost/got stolen). If I make it through the class and get a C, I'm done and will never have to worry about the DNA chain again and I will get to go on to RN like a good little soldier.
I'm sticking it out even if I blow a gasket in doing so.

I have a bunch of pictures of funny stuff at home on my camera...I'll try to post them later.

I have to go to the Kolodjeiz for a BBQ Saturday, any suggestions on food to take. Please keep in mind I'm a crappy cook even with the recipe. Leave all suggestions in the comments so I can go through them.

STP and Red Rocks

It was a nice night. We got backstage passes which involved some free catering and backside look at the band playing. Our seats were good. Bruce got seats right to the left of the sound guy(I guess this is the best area) and we enjoyed the show...that is until the idiot EMO Junkie lost his cookies down the back of my legs...fucker. I heard this "familiar" sound but couldn't quite place it til Burt and Jimmy yelled "get that lil shit outta here before we kill him!" At that point I knew that it WASN'T a dropped beer on my backside...Bummer. I'm all for people have a good time...but jeez. For me...if I'm not standing behind the 6'5" giant (I'm 5' on a good day), standing next to the crazy underdressed groupie shaking her ass and taking up too much room, then I'm being puked on.

We used our VIP passes to go down to the front row on the last song and just guess what happened there? You are thinking Scott Weiland came over and asked for my hand? No...the guy standing next to us started to puke...but his girlfriend got him outta there quick, which was good, because Bobby looked at me and I said, "Lucky guy, Cause I was gonna have to beat him".

All in all it was a great night. Red Rocks is always great. Tomorrow is the 4th...not sure what is going on then.

Hope everyone has a great one!
