Turkey Day via The Veggie

Hey !!!

My sissy came in at 8 am Thursday morning and we picked her up with only hvaieng to circle the airport passenger pickup 5 times!!!! Not bad I say!... I was a little peeved I missed my Macy's Day Parade (my own personal holiday tradition), but it was worth it.

We got home and immediately got shopping for Turkey day stuff, we were pushing the clock because I knew the bird needed to be in by 1130. Me being the non meat eater supplying the meat, I didn't want to screw things up. I found a recipe online that swore it was a juicy turkey

So that is what we did.

I had to have Sissy open the plastic bag because I immediately started retching at the sight of the gross juice that poured out, but once she got it undone and rinsed I was ok...She held open the cavity as we cramed lemons and herbs inside...we noticed there wasn't enough room for everything thing then low and behold! we were stuffing the wrong end...You gotta go in thru the other end ...not the neck end. Boy once we figured that out we felt like pros.

the only minute problem we had was we weren't sure how to make the gravy...So Princess Didi made it :0)

The Dinner was yummy, we had plenty of food, plenty of drink and plenty of funny stories.

It snowed last night...absolutely gorgous. Of course it's always gorgous when it's the first snow of the year.

Olive sprung out of bed like a cannon screeching "open the curtains!!!" and then in the perfect Princess form she announces "Yes!, Now I can wear my new boots!!!" I'm not sure where that child came from....but I'll keep her.

I brought my camera in this morning and spent half the a.m. trying to figure it out. Obvioulsy I can take pictures it's getting the stupid things off the camera. I finally got them off and sent them to the Princesses via email sans photoshop, so gals, if they are not to your liking I will be photoshopping, cropping, and fixing later tonight...and then we will all be beeeuuuutiful :)

I want to discuss a little something that I talked to Jenny about yesterday. I'm losing my Ass. literally. I asked Jenny about it and she thinks maybe I should look at some photos, but you gals know how I am about pictures. Secondly, I would ask you, but you would all lie to me and say it's fine. Maybe it is fine. I don't know. I just don'e want to be assless. It's bad enough my boobs are shrinking...BUT MY BUTT TOO? Someone really hates me.

I feel a wee bit crappy since I haven't run in a week. Maybe today? We'll see.

We got the Christmas lights up. I need a few more things outside to make my holiday decor look the way I want. I'll try to buy them this week. Cleaned up my laundry room and in that time we discoverd all the little mice that have come inside since the cold. There must have been one inside, and the rest in the garage. I feel bad for the little guys because Bobby immediately sets traps and catches them...more like kills them. He got the one that was in the house then set one in the garage and was so very proud of himself when the trap contained not 1, but 2 little stupid mice who attempted to feast on my organic peanutbutter at the same time and the bar squashed right down on their necks. Olive threw a fit! Bad Daddy...I love those mice!!!

So, back to the Thanksgiving party. Bobby was irritated that I planed a party without him being involved. I have told him multiple times that we were all getting together, but he felt left out and uninvolved in my "so called life". I tried to explain to him that I ask his opinion all the time and he always says "I don't know or I don't care" so it seems a bit of a mute point to me. Doesn't it to you? He takes it as me not loving him and always putting him second or third. Oh, well. He's a big boy. He'll have to deal with it. One amazing thing though is taht he apologized for throwing the phone at the wall and breaking it into a million pieces. It was pretty amazing, the fact that he apologized....we never apologize, so I'm thinking this might indicate that he realized at some point he was being a bit of a butt, but who knows he is a man.

Well,
The weekend is upon us...Yahoo. I'm sooo ready. I have so much stuff I need to get done I can hardly think straight. I'll just have a few beers and think sideways, how about that?

First of all, I want to say how proud of my friend, Ms. Jones, for taking the pledge to be healthy/healthier. It's so awesome. My sweet friend Jenny, whom I have never met in person, but talk to online...we met each other on Self.com. We became workout buddies and encouraged each other when we were trying to get on track with poor eating and working out. We are both petite, but love the beer :) so losing a few pounds or tightening up a little in the middle is hard. She is still the one I talk to when I have a big accomplishment or amess up, and she always moves me forward. So, Ms. Jones I suggest you try Self.com...check out the forum sections and see if you can do the "Self Challenge".

Turkey day is coming up,,,or nonturkey day for me :0) i love the side dishes. We are having a little get together and we can all just relax, chit chat and have some yummy food, wine and conversation. Can't wait!

Next, I really need to pick a date for the Holiday Mansion Party. I want to get a new dress...Maybe we should change the theme from Dress up to something goofy this year, but I like to get dressed up...and I think it gives us girls a reason to get our hairdone. I want to have a bartender this year and I hope to find some single men to invite for the single girls. Maybe we should put a "craigslist posting" up for that? Any suggestions?

I gotta get back to work right now, but this weekend I'll write more. I am going to try to figure out how to make it so we can all post.

Softies, mmmmmmm

My new favorite thing in the entire world...Softies...little creatures you hand sew and decorate that appear to take on a life of their own. All I want to do right now is go home and make some. I did not make that Softie...but it's cute huh?

I need buttons...thread...felt...fabric....got any laying around you would like to get rid of? I will take it. I have been feeling exceptionally crafty lately so watch out!
