Pick That Guy

Here's something which made me giggle

I /we were putting away laundry...

you know the mundane crap task of folding and putting away.

Completing the task...which I despise

When I heard from the other room...

"This is like a fucking dream come true....Never in my life did I think I would be putting away your underwear....Never...I fucking love this part of all of this"

If anyone ever announces this to you.... pick them.

seriously

Pick the person who loves you, your laundry, and your nasty ratty underwear.

xoxo,
just a small piece of wisdom,

365 days: day 217 Undie drawer update and DIY Bracelet Organizer

Days are getting pretty swanky around here

underwear drawer is looking good

so, I couldn't just ignore the socks

or the bracelets ( this is brilliant)
I highly recommend doing this, I should have done it years ago.
I got these organizer things on Amazon

came the next day so that I didn't lose my will or want and blammo...Undwear organized like a grownup.
Panties have a living space and every pair is open to fair use.
same with the socks.
remember, if you do this, make sure you get rid of the gross underwear too....and socks.

After I cleaned those 2 drawers I thought, "well hell...let's do something with the jewelry."
I wanted something to hang my bracelets on ( I love bracelets!)
I looked on amazon and Pinterest and really could not find anything which looked semi modern and was not killer $$
Then....I saw something...I said, I know what that is!
A CUP HOLDER!!!
So, I went to Target and got a coffee cup hanger thingy and it worked perfect. 16$, light wood and marble base for my rings.
woop woop.
Please see above.
genius

I ordered this thing for my necklaces and earrings
we will see.

I feel a bit relieved.
I have been donating and ditching things for downsizing.
better to be prepared

Now y'all get to organizing that undies drawer.
you can thank me later

off to admire my panties

Ghost .......in you...she don't fade.......

tonight I have written 2 posts...I unloaded my heart and then stuffed it into the draft file
you can thank me later.

I went back to working out.
Thanks Jen!

I'm determined to get abs by Oct 29....even if no one sees them, I am going to do it.
Yup...
love me some abs....
Bought new underwear...15 pairs....15 pairs of fucking underwear.
but not really "fucking underwear" just underwear.  Because I don't fuck...or have sex, or kiss, or touch, or even really look anymore.
which gives me ample time to work....
and to go to the gym....
and read....
knit...
and organize my underwear drawer.
It's rewarding.
not.

I'm good.

I bought tickets to see Ben Harper.
it is pretty trivial, but it was a huge deal to me
I did something for myself.
I bought 2...hoping a friend would go,
because seeing and hearing music with someone is great...
it's like looking into someone's secret space when you share music...
It didn't work out.
I will still go, because it is part of becoming independent.
and I love Ben Harper.

It's all good.

The girls at work asked why I haven't met someone.
Just get a boyfriend, or a friend with benefits.
I smile and think how easy it should be.
How the men I have met are right there in front of me...
and I am not attracted.
I smile politely and listen....
and shake my head....
there is nothing there
I cannot imagine anyone looking at me,
I cannot imagine talking to someone....
or letting someone talk to me
or letting them in.

on the other side...
when he talks to me
I melt....
I cannot even.

Just take me away,
escape for a day or 3
hands,
lips,
dancing in the kitchen,
napping.

underwear....
underwear drawer....
just undies....nothing else.

A race is on I'm on your side
And hearing you my engines die
I'm in a mood for you
For running away
Stars come down in you
And love, you can't give it away
Inside you the time moves

And she don't fade
The ghost in you
She don't fade
Inside you the time moves
And she don't fade

write ya later,
m

M.M.S The curse

Let me preface this with I should be working out right now.

(this is not me...if it is you...I'm sorry...and where is your best gay friend to tell you to stop it?)

With that said.
My underwear is tight, and you know, if you have been reading my "journals", that I can't bear to have tight underwear.   Most people would just suggest to go buy a larger size.  Not me.
I refuse.
I can't do it.
I don't want to to do it.
I want things to fit the same all the time, unless it is my bra...then maybe it would be nice for me to have to go get a larger size....but, as all us Mommy's know...the top half gets smaller and saggier as the ass end gets bigger and bumpier.
I have often pondered why this is.
I believe one of the reasons is we eat like crap.
We make breakfast for the kids...
take a few bites...
Make lunch for the kids...
Lick the peanut butter spoon (ok, have a couple of spoons of peanut butter)
swish it down with cold crappy coffee.
Then usually treat ourselves to a stand up lunch of
whatever is easiest to reach and doesn't need heated up in the kitchen.
I believe it is also because we start buying these:

(this is also not me...I would not be caught dead in that.)

You see, "Juicy" on her ass is one thing...because her other outfit is a Victoria Secrets ensemble and a pair of wings.
"Juicy" on our asses...um, I wouldn't call it juicy...
If you have these pants, get rid of them...and don't donate them, we don't need any street person sporting these either. And PLEASE,please... don't give them to your 13 year old daughter
(that's another entry).
We start wearing Mom Suits...the outfit of mammas around the world.
Drawstring and elastic stretch so our asses have no restraint.
Hell, I may even stop wearing pantaloons under these things.
Stretchy...
there is no accountability with these.
That is until you try to cram your white self into a bathing suit mid April.

Listen, I'm just saying....
we can conquer the curse of the spreading cheeks if you just stop buying larger underwear.
and those Mamma Mall Suits.

I will be upstairs...
working out in my too tight pantaloons.

morning sunshine

Every morning I come to work without my makeup on. I know I shouldn't but I'm tired and getting a 5 year old out of the house in a timely manner takes every bit of essence out of me. So, instead, I come to work with makeup in bag and do it in my office. whatever. Sometimes I don't do it at all.
So, yesterday morning, Wendy says, "let's go down to the cafeteria and get some breakfast." OKie dokie. We head down the stairs and I say, "shit, I didn't put on my eyes" (because this is what Southern girls with blonde/red eyelashes say).
"Who exactly do you plan on seeing in our dumpy cafeteria?"
Well ya know what ? You never know. You should always be ready...just in case someone famous is down there and you want to comment on their last movie or book and not scare the bajeesus outta them.
"yea, I guess you are right", I said. "Who could be there?"
I mean really, short of the overweight I.T. guy eating his weight in green chili burritos and the occasional street person...who could I see down there.
Breakfast it is.
As I came around the corner, who was standing waiting for some scrambled egg whites or whatever a Greek God at the Hospital eats....
This Guy...or at least someone who looked just like that, in nice scrubs.

I ducked my head down as I heard Wendy laughing. Really!? REALLY? Where does HE work....? must be ER...
Wendy sidles up next to me as I get my water and I glance over my shoulder ...he's checking out Wendy's legs as far as I can tell.
"Oh My GOD...I am never listening to you again...I TOLD you, you never know!!!"
damnit..
note to self...always put on your eyes...just in case, even if Wendy says, "It's just street people and I.T guys".

Old Skool Punk

I think this is why I think the kids today are so cute. I love the little punkrock 7th graders. I remember how hard it was to get funky clothes. Literally, I had to go to the Salvation Army to get clothes. My poor mom...she would beg me not to wear some of the stuff I had...and I would say , "think of all the money you are saving!"

I'm the little punk rocker in these pictures...It was probably around 1986/87...
I'm tiny...like a midget...But Boy I could work that punk rock 'bidniss'.
Shaved heads and no worries, I had no idea or care what people thought of me.
I just assumed everyone loved me.
Last night I spent 4 hours dealing with the ancient Apple, hooking up the only scanner we have and started scanning pictures for Facebook. I obviously was either the thief of many photo albums, or had the need to photo EVERYTHING from 1983 onward. Boxes and boxes...and I only made it to 1987...I was trying to be careful what I would scan so as not to start any fights among new lives, because I believe many of my old friends, never really talk about their past...I appear to be a common denominator in many people's lives. I think I was possibly the good common denominator, I had many groups of friends, many who didn't realize they crossed paths in the ways which they did. There were not many pictures of me, because I was probably taking the pictures...but there were many many pictures of people, in different day, a different life, possibly secret lives.

An old boyfriend posted....
"if I had a dollar for every brain cell I killed back then...I wouldn't have to work now!"
Everyone agreed.
